Basic Design Compositions
In these designs I explored the compositional aspects such as scale, negative space, rhythm, and point/line/plane. In each design I showcased a different "narrative."
In the designs below I highlight the use of scale (left) and negative space (right). The scale intensifies with the increasing size of the raindrops hurtling down towards the seemingly miniscule flowers. In the negative space design, I utilize the white space in the "chess board" background and the "chess piece" figure. This creates a slight sense of illusion.
And in the designs below here, I used the idea of "rhythm" in the piece on the left, and point/line/plane in the design on the right. I ended up getting a strange magic 8 ball essentially with the PLP design and chose to give it an aura in a few different ways using line. In the rhythm design, I wanted there to be harmonious flow between the gestures and did not want them to touch or be too far from each other.
